Abstract

Based on the fundamental analysis that was carried out from 2020-2022 during the pandemic using financial ratios, the authors can draw conclusions and also recommendations, namely that automotive and component sub-sector companies are in a superior position in the average results of Net Profit Margin, Return on Equity, Return on Assets, Current Ratio, Debt to Asset Ratio and Asset Turn Over Ratio. This means that the automotive sub-sector company and its management company can generate profits effectively, are good enough to generate profits from their shareholder's equity, are optimal enough to generate net income using their assets, have enough current assets to pay off their short-term debts. , owning enough assets to pay off the company's debts, as well as demonstrating the effectiveness of automotive and component sub-sector companies in managing their assets to generate income. Whereas in the Quick Ratio, the companies that excel are the durable household goods sub-sector, this sub-sector is also quite good in Debt to Asset Ratio and Asset Turnover Ratio, in the Debt to Equity Ratio are the textile sub-sector companies and this sub-sector company is also quite good at Asset Turnover Ratio. This shows that during the pandemic, the non-primary consumption goods sector was also one of the drivers of economic growth during the pandemic. This can be seen from the part of the population that consumes non-primary consumer goods. Based on fundamental analysis, the movements seen in financial ratios were fluctuating as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020. And for investors who are going to buy shares in the non-primary consumer goods sector industry, based on the fundamental analysis conducted on the sub-sector companies above, it is seen from the results of calculating financial ratios that it is recommended to buy shares in companies in the automotive and component sub-sectors because have a fairly good and optimal financial condition.
