DM sufferers who do not carry out treatment and care properly will experience complications at both the cellular and anatomical levels, both macrovascular and microvascular. Macrovascular complications are blockages in large blood vessels such as in the heart and brain which often result in death and in the lower extremities which result in gangrene in the legs, while microvascular complications are blockages in small blood vessels such as in the kidneys and in the eyes causing vision problems. Objective: The research aims to determine the number of macrovascular and microvascular complications in people with DM at Prolanis Daun Salam Sibela Health Center. And the influence of Diabetes Mellitus on macrovascular and microvascular complications Methods: Descriptive research type with cross sectional design. The population was people with diabetes mellitus who participated in Prolanis Daun Salam at Sibela Health Center using total sampling. The data collection technique is by means of anamnese, interview, questionnaire, early detection of macrovascular and microvascular complications. The data analysis technique uses the chi-square statistical test to analyze data on categories of macrovascular and microvascular complications, and determine the relationship or trend of macrovascular complications and microvascular complications. Results: The most macrovascular complications were complications in peripheral disease, namely 87%, and the smallest were cardiovascular complications at 13%, and cerebrovascular complications at 37%. Meanwhile, microvascular complications in retinopathy accounted for 27%, neuropathy accounted for 30% and the most common was nephropathy at 47% Conclusion: DM sufferers at Prolanis Daun Salam Sebela Community Health Center are at risk of developing macrovascular and microvascular complications
Suryanti Suryanti, Duwi Pudjiati Copyright (c) 2025 Suryanti Suryanti, Duwi Pudjiati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://tahtamedia.co.id/index.php/mjn/article/view/1273 Mon, 21 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0000 PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN KNEE DECKER TERHADAP NYERI LUTUT SAAT MENDAKI GUNUNG MAHASISWA PENCINTA ALAM https://tahtamedia.co.id/index.php/mjn/article/view/1373
Background: One of the student activities related to physical activity and sports is mountain climbing. Mountain climbing is a sport related to physical activity and nature. Physical activity carried out in the open air has more benefits for physical and psychological health because mountain climbing is a medium to find a calm and quiet atmosphere because the mountain is far from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, mountain climbing can cause various health problems if done without good preparation. One of the physical problems that arises is knee pain. Efforts to reduce the level of pain can be done by using an assistive device (orthosis), namely knee support or elastic knee decker. Elastic knee decker is an orthosis that covers the knee area where the function of the elastic knee decker itself is to provide compression, knee stability, minimize muscle work and can reduce the degree of pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of knee decker on knee pain that occurs when climbing mountains.

Methods and subjects: This study is a quasi-experimental study with a two-group pre-test post-test design. Sampling using purposive sampling of 16 people.

Results: The Mann-Whitney test results showed a sig. value of 0.001, meaning p<0.05, which indicates the effect of using elastic knee decker on knee pain in mountain climbers.
Prasetyo Catur Utomo, Muhibbah Fatati, An-nisa Octaviani Putri Copyright (c) 2025 Prasetyo Catur Utomo, Muhibbah Fatati, An-nisa Octaviani Putri https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://tahtamedia.co.id/index.php/mjn/article/view/1373 Mon, 21 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0000 PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN CUSTOM INSOLE TERHADAP AGILITY PADA ANAK UMUR 8-12 TAHUN https://tahtamedia.co.id/index.php/mjn/article/view/1372
Background: The foot is a very important part of the limb for walking, and functions as a lever so that the foot is the part that receives the deformity force, so the shape of the sole of the foot has a very important role in carrying out every physical activity. The description above provides an illustration that someone with a flat foot shape has a physical activity ability, namely agility, which is less good compared to someone who has a normal foot shape. Methods and Subjects: The method used in this study is quantitative experimental using a Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT) research design. This study uses a single blinding method where the research subjects do not know what type of insole they are using. The randomized technique in this study uses simple randomization, namely by drawing lots. The sample of this study was 38 respondents, where the control group and the intervention group received the same treatment by being given standard treatment in the form of custom insoles but for the control group they were given regular insoles without medial arch support (MAS). And the intervention group was given insoles with medial arch support (MAS) features. Therefore, in this study, a pre-treatment test was conducted as a basis for determining the level of sample homogeneity, as well as a post-treatment test which was used as data to compare the effectiveness of the intervention between the two groups tested. The measuring instrument used in this study was the Edgren Side Step Test (ESST). Results: The results of the Mann Whitney test showed that there was a difference in the average agility between the intervention group (16.52) and the control group (17.73) with a p value = 0.042 where the p value <0.05.Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a statistically significant difference in agility in the intervention group and the control group. Where the intervention group has better agility than the control group
Muhibbah Fatati, Dwi Setyawan Copyright (c) 2025 Muhibbah Fatati, Dwi Setyawan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://tahtamedia.co.id/index.php/mjn/article/view/1372 Mon, 05 May 2025 00:00:00 +0000 DERAJAT HALLUX VALGUS DAN TINGKAT NYERI GURU SMK SURAKARTA https://tahtamedia.co.id/index.php/mjn/article/view/1399
Background: The foot plays a vital role in supporting body weight and enabling locomotion. Improper foot care and footwear can lead to musculoskeletal disorders such as pain. One common condition is hallux valgus, a lateral deviation of the big toe that causes progressive pain and impairs joint function. Teachers, particularly those in vocational high schools, are at higher risk due to prolonged standing and the use of formal footwear. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship and strength of association between the hallux valgus angle and pain intensity among public vocational high school teachers in Surakarta. Methods: A quantitative, observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. Participants were selected using purposive sampling. The hallux valgus angle was measured using amplification angulus, and pain intensity was assessed. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s correlation test. Results: A significant positive correlation was found between the hallux valgus angle and pain intensity. For the right foot, the p-value was 0.028 with a correlation coefficient of 0.401 (moderate). For the left foot, the p-value was 0.038 with a correlation coefficient of 0.380 (low). Conclusion: There is a significant positive relationship between the hallux valgus angle and pain intensity among teachers, with moderate correlation on the right foot and low correlation on the left foot
Anissa Eka Septiani, Nur Rachmat, Fitri Khoirun Nisa Copyright (c) 2025 Anissa Eka Septiani, Nur Rachmat, Fitri Khoirun Nisa https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ https://tahtamedia.co.id/index.php/mjn/article/view/1399 Mon, 02 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000
