This study aims to analyze the forms and characteristics of the tolerance value internalization process, identify its supporting and hindering factors, and develop a systematic, contextual, and measurable model for internalizing tolerance values at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Ali, Secang, Magelang. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using a modified Borg and Gall model, combined with a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the kyai, teachers, and students, and documentary analysis. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, supplemented by Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test for pre-post test data. Results show that tolerance value internalization at the pesantren operates through three integrated pathways: classical Islamic textbook learning (formal), collective dormitory life (non-formal), and teacher exemplariness (cultural). The integrative DKPT model developed (Dialogue-Exemplariness-Habituation-Social Action) significantly improved students' cognitive, affective, and behavioral tolerance scores, with a mean increase of 24.0% (p < 0.05 across all dimensions). This study contributes a replicable, systematic character education model grounded in pesantren values.
2026-07-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Asrofi Asrofi, Imam Anas Hadi, Zaenal Abidinhttps://tahtamedia.co.id/eduresearch/article/view/1995Development of Interactive Media Based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) Assisted by Scratch in Islamic Religious Education Subject2026-04-29T04:49:19+00:00Pujianto PujiantoPujianto@gmail.comUswatun Khasanahuswatunkhasanah6815@gmail.comIda Zahara Adibahidazahara@gmail.com
This study aims to develop an interactive learning media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) assisted by the Scratch application in the Islamic Religious Education subject, particularly on the topic of the Six Pillars of Faith for students of SDIT Izzatul Islam Getasan. The background of this research stems from the need for innovative and engaging learning media that suit the characteristics of 21st-century learners who are familiar with digital technology. The research model used is Research and Development (R&D), adapting the steps of Borg and Gall, which include: (1) needs analysis and preliminary study, (2) product planning, (3) initial product development, (4) expert validation, (5) product revision, (6) individual trials, (7) small group trials, and (8) field (operational) trials. The test subjects consisted of material experts, media experts, educational practitioners, and first-grade students of SDIT Izzatul Islam Getasan. The results show that the interactive learning media based on PjBL assisted by Scratch is considered feasible and effective as a learning tool. Material expert validation achieved an average score of 4.00 (Good category), media experts 3.25 and 3.75 (Good category), and practitioner validation 4.00 (Good category). Individual trials obtained an average score of 35, small group trials 55, and operational field trials 114.5 — all in the Good category. Therefore, the interactive media based on PjBL assisted by Scratch is effective in improving students’ understanding and learning motivation on the topic of the Six Pillars of Faith, and can serve as an innovative, creative, and technology-based alternative for Islamic Religious Education learning.
2026-07-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Pujianto Pujianto, Uswatun Khasanah, Ida Zahara Adibahhttps://tahtamedia.co.id/eduresearch/article/view/1997An Analysis of Denotative and Connotative Meaning in Sunday School Children’s Conversation at HKBP Sinaksak Eben Ezer2026-04-30T01:13:16+00:00Dhea Natasya Sitepudhean323@gmail.comBernike Anggita Damanikbernieke.damanik@uhn.ac.id
This study examines the interplay of denotative and connotative meanings in spontaneous conversations among Sunday School children aged 7-12 at Gereja HKBP Sinaksak Eben Ezer, an Indonesian urban Batak Protestant church. Employing qualitative content analysis of 10 transcribed dialogues (totaling 1,200 utterances) from recorded sessions, the research identifies how literal (denotative) interpretations dominate basic religious narratives, while connotative layers shaped by Batak cultural, emotional, and familial influences emerge in moral discussions and peer interactions. Findings reveal that 65% of connotative usages convey positive affiliations (e.g., "Tuhan/God" evoking comfort and protection beyond its literal sense), yet 25% introduce ambiguities leading to miscommunications. These patterns underscore children's developing pragmatic competence in faith-based discourse. Implications for Sunday School pedagogy include strategies for explicit meaning clarification to enhance comprehension and spiritual engagement. This analysis contributes to child language acquisition studies by bridging semantics with Batak religious socialization.
2026-07-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Dhea Natasya Sitepu, Bernike Anggita Damanikhttps://tahtamedia.co.id/eduresearch/article/view/2001A Semantic Analysis of Associative Meaning in the Song “The Visitor” by Sienna Spiro2026-05-16T01:17:16+00:00Sonya Lauri Situmeangsonyalauri24@gmail.comBernieke Damanikberniekedamanik@uhn.ac.id
This study entitled “A Semantic Analysis of Associative Meaning in the Song ‘The Visitor’ by Sienna Spiro” investigates how associative meanings are expressed in the song lyrics and how they contribute to the emotional and thematic interpretation of the song. The objective of this study is to identify the types of associative meaning found in the lyrics and explain their roles in conveying implied meanings and emotional experiences. This study applied a descriptive qualitative method using content analysis. The data consisted of 24 lyric excerpts selected from the song lyrics based on their relevance to Leech’s theory of associative meaning. The findings revealed that all six types of associative meaning were found in the lyrics, namely connotative, social, affective, reflective, collocative, and thematic meanings. Among these types, affective meaning appeared as the most dominant because the lyrics mainly expressed emotional attachment, longing, sadness, and inner conflict. Connotative meaning was reflected through symbolic expressions that conveyed deeper emotional interpretation, while reflective meaning appeared through words containing multiple interpretations. In addition, the findings indicated that associative meanings in the song often overlapped and worked together in expressing psychological and emotional experiences.
2026-07-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Sonya Lauri Situmeang, Bernieke Damanikhttps://tahtamedia.co.id/eduresearch/article/view/2029The Role of Qodiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah Thoriqoh Education for Elderly People at Nurul Ali Islamic Boarding School, Sempu Ngadirojo, Secang, Magelang2026-06-03T02:45:24+00:00Ahmad Nur Islakhislakh@gmail.comImam Anas Hadiimamanas@gmail.comIda Zahara Adibahidazaharaadibah@gmail.com
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of an increasing number of elderly people seeking spiritual peace in their old age through Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Nurul Ali Sempu Islamic Boarding School in Magelang serves as one of the Islamic education centers focusing on coaching the elderly through the teachings of Thoriqoh Qodiriyah wa Naqsabandiyah (Thariqah Qadriyah Wa Naqsabandiyah). This study aims to describe and analyze the role of Thariqah Qadriyah Wa Naqsabandiyah education in enhancing the spiritual and mental quality of life for the elderly, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of the educational process. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the mentors (mursyid/badal), administrators, and elderly students (santri), along with documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was tested using source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that Thariqah Qadriyah Wa Naqsabandiyah education at Nurul Ali Islamic Boarding School plays a central role in three main aspects for the elderly. First, the Spiritual Aspect: through the practice of dhikr jahir and khafi, the elderly experience a closeness to Allah SWT, which impacts their readiness to face death (husnul khotimah). Second, the Psychological Aspect: thoriqoh education serves as mental therapy that reduces anxiety, loneliness, and stress (post-power syndrome) in old age. Third, the Social Aspect: the pesantren becomes a space for healthy social interaction, allowing the elderly to feel a sense of community and moral support. Supporting factors for this education include intensive guidance from the mursyid and a calm rural environment, while the inhibiting factors include the declining physical condition of the elderly in following a dense schedule of activities.
2026-07-02T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ahmad Nur Islakh, Imam Anas Hadi, Ida Zahara Adibah
